    Description

    You are looking at an N-scale set of etched stainless steel sides by KV Models. These sides are for a Pullman plan 3979 8-1-2 sleeping car. The set includes the sides and coupler cut levers. The sides are a 3-layer assembly. The layers are the base layer, outer face layer and detail layer. The outer detail layer (belt rail and letter board) are attached to the outer face layer with CA. That assembly is then attached to the base layer with CA as well. I used a MicroTrains heavyweight sleeping car as a core for my car. I cut the sides from the car at the floor and the ends. The sides are then attached to the core with CA. I used styrene to reinforce the seams. I included a photo of my finished model so you can see what the car will look like when completed as well as some construction photos. Please note that you are NOT buying a completed model, you are buying car sides. This is a car that no major manufacturer will ever produce. I made the sides for myself and had extras. I am offering them for sale so other modelers can model such a unique car. I will ship within 24 hours of receiving payment.
